Richmond Sound Design Ltd. Theatre Sound Design, Show Control & Virtual Sound System Software SM-Designer Release Notes ********************************************************************** VERSION 133 Uses SM-Assistant Version 1.0.123 Uses SoundMan-Server Version 1.0.28 ********************************************************************** VERSION 132 Uses SM-Assistant Version 1.0.122 ********************************************************************** VERSION 131 Removed 'Backup' from Files menu ********************************************************************** VERSION 130 - Important changes! This is a totally new version that will work correctly for average non-admin users: The installer continues to put everything including the demo show and demo audio files in the usual place in the Program Files\RSD folder In this new version, when any user including admin and non-admin users run it the first time all the demo and user data files get copied and set up in the user's My Documents\RSD\SM-Designer folder. This simplifies a lot of issues but mainly it makes it easy for the students at their workstations to simply drag their SM-Designer folder into a USB drive and take it to another computer to run their project. You will have to manually move your shows from the Shows folder in Program Files to the applicable user's My Documents Shows folder and your selections from the Selections folder in Program Files to the applicable user's My Documents Shows folder. ********************************************************************** VERSION 129 If this is updating an older version, you may have to reenter your Settings -> Options Includes new manual files from the website Manual now can be used while SM-D functionality is still available Uses SM-A Version 1.0.121 which is the same version number but just omits the legacy conversion options. Fixed bug in the snapshot window. ********************************************************************** VERSION 128 Includes Version 1.0.120 SM-A and Version 1.0.26 SM-S No longer uses the ini file Creates a reg key for SM-A if there isn't one Sets the defaults (not MM yet, thats next) You still have to bring SM-A to the front to change settings later ********************************************************************** VERSION 127 Includes Version 1.0.119 SM-A and Version 1.0.25 SM-S The installer doesn't allow non-admin users to install - it just prompts that you can't do that and exits ********************************************************************** VERSION 126 Made list open when show opens checked by default in list properties Setting default show from current show path - was sending the show to SM-A again, even though it was already there SM-D now calls GetTime and properly displays date and time in real time lists (there is still an issue with SM-A and the cues going properly) VERSION 125 Took out rockey dll from installer as it is no longer needed Startup waits after starting SM-A and SM-S for them to appear in the windows tasklist .5 second wait after loading succesfully when connecting to SM-A, SM-D retries if connection fails When SM-D is shutting down: program waits until SM-S is not in the windows task list then waits until SM-A is not in the windows task list this takes around 3.5 seconds it will up to 30 seconds before giving up and closing anyway Updated manual ********************************************************************** VERSION 124 Includes Version 1.0.119 SM-A and Version 1.0.24 SM-S ********************************************************************** VERSION 123 Includes new version of Li'lDemo show and BellTree selections ********************************************************************** VERSION 122 When you import a .sho file that is already on the box and replace it it didn't come up as needing refresh - it does now Set default show - finished If a show is selected from "shows in show folder" -if it already exists in SM-A -- same action as if from "shows in SM-A" -if not in SM-A, gets loaded to SM-A and then set as default show Backup SM-A shows/selections completed ********************************************************************** VERSION 120 Complete rewrite removing everything to do with 'Projects' and vastly simplifying the program ********************************************************************** VERSION 121 Show editor changed menu item "Refresh" to "Send Show to SM-A" -if it's there it refreshes it if not prompt for a # and send to SM-A When you refresh a show from the show control window, and when you refresh a show from the show editor Now updates the contents window moddate, which apparently it never did before Li'lDemo and the bell selections are only installed now if the installer doesn't find the SM-D_Default folder Add Show in contents no longer allows you to save a show that is already there Set default show - new show, doesn't tell you to add it to the project anymore Changed SM-D settings menu to just "Settings" Moved "display Go Button" to view menu now it just says "GO Button" and is checked or unchecked like the other view items instead of changing from "display Go Button to Hide GO Button" ********************************************************************** VERSION 112 fixed the bug SM-D going away when dropping into the files panel in the process audio files window SM-A V117, SM-S V23 ********************************************************************** VERSION 111 Fixed bug related to making windows float with multiple monitors ********************************************************************** VERSION 110 Made local SM-A filter set to on by default for new shows Titled SoundManDesigner (which should be SM-Designer) now is Fixed typo in show props window Removed 5.2 limit (total) from in/out delays In/output delays are now allowed to be 5.2 sec EACH ********************************************************************** VERSION 109 BUG in GOSTOPLOADRESUME editor a null go or stop when opened in the editor didn't show the channel as ALL instead it came up as channel 1, which is wrong - FIXED Changed the installer to only replace the files in lildemo if the file on the target machine is older than the one in the installer Took out the project details button from the Contents window ********************************************************************** VERSION 108 Renamed selections in installer from BellS(1=4)Left.wav to Bell(1-4).wav replace lildemo show in installer Open selections window.
